My least favorite out of the four seasons is autumn. Mainly because it’s the most rainy and windy season. Everyday I cycle a lot in the centre of Amsterdam, and never ever hop on my bike without my headphones on. You do have to watch the traffic better, otherwise things can get a bit dangerous. But if you know some good albums that can make your thoughts drift away, cycling can be meditative even. This way long distances can feel like a short trip, especially when it’s warm or when you’re heavily packed in a big winter jacket. But nothing can stop the rain. Luckily we’ve selected some perfect autumn tracks for you that will absolutely improve your cold nights, suit the last convulsions of summer or soothe the pain of a heavy rain.
What a difference a city make. Charismatic and appealing items seem to pop up wherever you go, making your life a little less ordinary and your city life more enjoyable. We have selected some affordable luxury must-haves for you. MENDO, our favorite book shop in Amsterdam, picked some great books.

TO WATCH by 22Tracks
Autumn doesn’t only mean the weather’s changing. It’s also a little painful moment of realization: summer is over! Suddenly, you miss vacation, the beach, the new people you’ve met, and already start to look forward to next summer. Real Love by Delorean is a wonderful dreamy track to bring back memories. In the video you’ll see flashes of real love of both people and dogs.
Sorel Classic Duck Boot
Back from the past, the classic duck boot. This retro version of Sorel keeps your feet warm.
New Era baseball caps
A very respected baseball caps brand, best known for its many collaborations with brands like Bathing Ape, Stussy and Supreme Gold.
Marshall Headphones
Beautiful, matte black and stylish, keeping your ears warm. This heavy sound of Marshall has been carried over the world for nearly 50 years. Breathless roadies and roaring trucks have worked hard to make Marshall heard all across the globe. Now, time has come for you to carry this magnificent burden of rock ‘n’ roll all by yourself.

How To Dress Well
Ready for the world
How To Dress Well is a Brooklyn bedroom producer, accompanied by his German pal cokc dokc. The duo describe their sound as ‘lo-fi Shai’ and took the 1986 slow jam Love You Down by Ready For The World as inspiration to make one of the most beautiful tracks of the year. Listen closely to feel the power and get the feeling, indeed, that you are ready for the whole world to get at ya.
James Blake
Limit To Your Love
There are covers, and there are covers. James Blake, who I got to know as a British dubstep producer, apparently is an amazing singer and can make laid back music as well. He covers Feist’s Limit To Your Love beautifully and adds some wonderful drums to the emotional keys. A must hear.
GANT Rugger colbert
With its urban rugged classiness, Gant will ensure you to feel great throughout autumn and winter. This jacket has the autumn classic feel, especially suitable when you want to dress up for traveling.
Jamie Woon
Night Air
The former supporting act of Amy Winehouse, Londoner Jamie Woon, could easily make the smoothest pop songs. Instead he flirts subtle with the sound that’s conquering the world and all started in London: Dubstep. Night Air is dark, seductive and warm. Like an Indian summer night.
Autumn artist
Helios – The Obeisant Vine
If deep emotional feelings would have a sound, it would sound pretty much exactly like Helios. Never have I heard music this touching and complete. Every piece of their music is just perfect. The brilliant music suits for a warm summer night, but sounds even better when the temperature drops and the nights become longer again. I’m glad they re-released the 2007 album Ayres in instrumental form, so we can listen to Helios on 22tracks again this month.
